Hello,  Holcomb Families - 

This is the first post of our 2024-2025 school year!  It is hard to believe that we are just a few weeks away from welcoming all of our Holcomb Heroes back to school. Because of the time away, I wanted to include any relevant and important information in this post so that parents/guardians can quickly and accurately access the information they need as we gear up for the start of the school year.  Below is a collection of links that should guide parents to relevant information for the start of the school year, as well as some upcoming dates and events to put on the calendar.

Upcoming Events for Holcomb Elementary School

• Monday, August 19th - Holcomb Elementary School front office opens up

• Tuesday, August 20th - Kindergarten Jumpstart Event (8:30AM - Noon) - Sign Up Here

• Wednesday, August 21st - Kindergarten Jumpstart Event (4:30PM - 8:00PM) - Sign Up Here

• Thursday, August 22nd - Welcome Back to OCSD Picnic @ Jennings Lodge (4:30PM to 7:30 PM)

• Wednesday, August 28th - Class rosters/class placement will be available in ParentVue

• Thursday, August 29th - 4PM to 6PM (Holcomb Open House/Meet and Greet for grades K-5)

• Friday, August 30th - All district buildings are closed (non-contract day for staff)

• Monday, September 2nd - Labor Day (No School - all district buildings are closed)

• Tuesday, September 3rd - First Day of School for grades 1-5 (7:55AM start; 2:10 dismissal)

• September 3rd - 5th - “Staggered Start” days for Kindergarten students (more information to come for our K families)

• Friday, September 6th - First day of school for our full Kindergarten cohort.
